If the level of excellence of a society is measured by the fate it holds for its minorities, we believe the same applies to organizations. People with a permanent disability or mental illness take part more and more actively in various tourist, cultural and recreational activities. For tourist, cultural and recreational businesses, a proactive attitude towards inclusion could avoid predicaments and transform a barrier into a competitive edge. Openness towards minorities is the distinguishing mark of great organizations.
The Tourist and Leisure Companion Sticker (TLCS) for people with a permanent disability believe in this philosophy. The aim is to meet the needs of a client group that is growing more dynamic and engaged. The companion sticker program is rooted in the underlying principle of individual equality which we would like to see applied throughout all the Quebec territory, so that people with a disability or mental illness may exercise their right to recreation without constraints or limitations.
